This aromatic and fresh cake smells just like a glass of fresh orange juice. Filled with healthy fats and naturally low-carb, you won’t believe how healthy it actually is!
It’s easy to bring this cake together. First, whisk the orange juice and orange zest, maple syrup, avocado oil and other wet ingredients in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the almond meal, coconut flour, baking soda, and salt. Sift the dry ingredients into the wet, whisking until all the ingredients are mixed.

Pour the batter into a round baking pan lined with parchment paper and bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool the cake completely before slicing into a piece of heaven!
Tip: You can also make this cake in a loaf pan and adjust the baking time to 50 minutes.

- Parchment paper
- 2 mixing bowls
Ingredients
- ½ cup avocado oil + more for greasing
- ½ cup maple syrup
- Zest of 1 large orange
- ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- ¼ cup full-fat coconut cream
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 ¾ cup almond meal
- ¼ cup coconut flour
- 1 t baking soda
- ¼ t salt
- Fresh orange slices and orange zest for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a round cake pan with avocado oil. Line the base of the cake pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the avocado oil, maple syrup, orange zest, orange juice, coconut cream, and eggs until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the almond meal, coconut flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Sift the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and whisk well.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is brown, and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before slicing into it.
